Reza Irani-Kermani was born in the Iranian city Tehran and he went through his education from the renowned French School, Lycée Razi up until 1980. Reza also went to Complexe Scolaire de Valbonne, Sophia Antipolis, Valbonne in France to continue with his further studies and secured his International Baccalaureate from the same institute. Reza then travelled to Birmingham, United Kingdom, to pursue his higher education in Production Engineering and Commerce at the University of Birmingham. It was later in the year 1989, after getting his Engineering degree; he earned his first job as a clerk at the Management Investment and Trade Ltd “MIT” in London. Reza himself entered into the trading business in the year 1990 and whilst possessing the entire professional caliber, he got promoted to the position of General Manager in the firm by the year 1991. Given to his impeccable skills and knowledge, MIT soon became one of the largest trading entities in foreign exchange around the world, backed by a daily turnover of more than $11 Billion.
During the late 90s, MIT was seeing China as the future of global trading markets but being a trading professional himself, Reza understood that that this is not going to bear much fruits for the firm in the process. This was the time when Reza was leading the firm’s London based office.
Reza also acted as the head of the bullion and foreign exchange trading department till the year 1997 and he got to work under AMC for 3 years under the contractual term laid down in his work agreement. Reza Irani-Kermani finally entered into the board members list of the Abela Corporation and its big web of companies, including Sogeres SA. Abela Corporation got more than 40,000 employees under their umbrella by that time and they have secured their business outreach to more than 44 countries by that time. Beside bullion and foreign exchange trading business, the firm was also indulge in various other business domains like catering, life support services, a chain of supermarkets in the Middle East, investments such as Gold mines in Africa, Salmon Farm in Scotland and Hotels in London, Nice, Cannes and Monaco.
After quitting Abela Corporation, Reza Irani co-founded his own trading firm named Symphony with his friend, Abbas Jafarian. The firm entered the business arena with some solid portfolios and also got involved in domains like real estate asset management for a large MENA Fund. Reza went deep into the same industry with another firm named Black Pearl Capital “BPC” in 2007, which proved its prowess in no time as an impactful investment Company, which also manages various Real Estate deals in Eastern and Western European zones.
